After Bulgaria’s accession to the EU on January 1st,
2007, Bulgarians will be considered European
Economic Area (EEA) nationals, and under community
law will be entitled to move and reside freely in any EU Member
State they might choose. Therefore, Bulgarian nationals will not be
required to obtain a visa to enter the UK, except for work permit
holders, which intend to work in the country for more than 6 months.
